MATTHEW GNALL
FOUNDER AND PRESIDENT

Matthew Gnall had a successful career as a goalkeeper and team captain of the Men's Soccer team at Wesleyan University.  Over the course of his tenure in goal, the team captured a NESCAC Championship and made two NCAA tournament appearances. He has also played semi-professionally in the Premier Development League for the New Jersey Rangers and Maine Premier Phoenix.  Gnall began his career in education and athletics in 2008, working as a teacher and coach at the Greenwich Country Day School.

Following his lifelong passion for soccer, Gnall then moved to Williams College, where he served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator under legendary coach, Mike Russo.  After a season that culminated in a NESCAC Championship and an NCAA Final Four appearance, Gnall was offered the opportunity to become one of the youngest head coaches in the country when he assumed the top job at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.  While at UNE, Gnall worked extensively in support of the athletic department and his student-athletes, successfully recruiting from across the country and internationally while guiding the team to an increased win total every season and a conference tournament bid in 2008.

In 2013, Gnall returned to his home state of New Jersey to assume duties at Blair Academy as the head coach of the boys' varsity team and a member of the English Department.  At Blair, Gnall resurrected a dormant program and concluded the 2015 season with a school record for victories in a season and a top ten national ranking.  Gnall has also guided many of his student-athletes through the recruiting process and has been instrumental in their placement at some of the most selective schools in the country.

Gnall has also served as a staff coach and Director of College Counseling for Black Rock FC.  Gnall has been responsible for an initiative that has overseen the guidance of 150 players in the program and directed recruiting efforts that resulted in placements in the Pac-12, ACC, Big Ten, Ivy League, NESCAC, and Liberty League among others.

In 2018, Gnall joined the Berkshire School Boy’s Varsity Soccer team as a program advisor. Providing assistance in a variety of capacities, Gnall helped the program to an undefeated season at 19-0, a New England Class A Championship and #1 national ranking by topdrawersoccer.com.
